MYMP sucks. Umaasa na lang sa revival ang mga yan. Lahat na ng kantang magaganda binababoy nila. Di bale ganun naman talaga dito sa Pinas. Lahat na lang ng singers walang ginawa kundi mag-revive. Instead of revival they bury the songs in a heap of flat notes on voices without a pinch of soul. Kaya ako bilib sa mga rockers, all of them try to do something orginal.
I wonder, total lahat na ng songs gustong gawan ika nga ng ’sariling version’ ng M.Y.M.P. icha-challenge ko silang irevive ang mga kanta ni Kelly Clarkson at Carrie Underwood. We’ll see what that flat singer could do. Walang originality!!!
2 years from now all of the songs on the radio will twang with idiot revivals from this group who actually had no talent in writing and singing their own songs at all. And the singing is less than average, worse than karaoke and wouldn’t pass outside a .5 star hotel. They can’t do justice to the songs. Sana marevive ni MYMP gurl yung kantang Alone ng Heart. MYMP! How can you make your Momma Proud? Puro KOPYA ANG MGA KANTA NYO!!!! Nagkakagusto lang sa mga kanta nyo iyong mga tao na TAMAD makinig ng BAGO AT ORIHINAL,MGA TAO NA WALANG PRINSIPYO AT TAMAD MAG-ISIP… Isa pa iyang PAOLO SANTOS iyan! Ano ipamamana ninyo sa susunod na HENERASYON? Na O.K. MANGOPYA NG MANGOPYA para lang MAGKAPERA HA! talagang wala na…wala ng sining…wala ng originality…panay PERA NA LANG nasa isip ng mga HINAYUPAK NA MGA MUSIKEROng iyan!

MYMP’s music is not for the most discriminating ear. It is for those who have little or no knowledge in how music is really made and correctly appreciated (e.g. Freestyle makes their music sound heavier by smashing the cymbals almost endlessly which is a sign that they lack the skill to make the music sound really nice). If you try to listen and analyze MYMP and Nina’s music closely, there’s nothing really special–no outrageous adlibidums, no spicy chords, no difficult polyrhythms. Simply put, they don’t have enough CREATIVITY and SKILLS to beat Dixie & Jazz artists such as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Ella Fitzgerald (Have you ever heard how these two artists perform?). And besides, I don’t really understand why most Filipinos give credit to these newbies (MYMP, Nina and the likes) instead of the original artists. Definitely, MYMP and Nina are not the best in the world. Disagreeing means you risk making the most overstated thing in the face of the earth.
ADDITIONAL NOTE TO READERS: The writer is referring to MYMP, Nina, and the likes (S. Geronimo, Sheryn Regis and Paolo Santos to name a few) who pretend that they are the best in the world, and the worst thing is, THEY DO IT WITHOUT APOLOGY!
